I’m a film director and screenwriter based in Sweden. Thanks for visiting my site!
My films are drama comedies that have been nominated for the Palme d’Or in Cannes, the European Film Awards and Startsladden. Coming up in 2026 is my new short Weekend Warrior (see pic), a co-production with Swedish Television which had its world premiere at The Norwegian Film Festival in Grimstad in June and will open in Sweden at Nordisk Panorama this fall.
My commercials are also humouristic in tone and, like my short films, very much character driven. I love working with actors - both pros and amateurs - and have cast most of the films on this site myself.
For commercial jobs, please contact www.bleckout.co in Sweden and in Norway www.fus.tv.
Med vänlig hälsning,
Simon Vahlne
